Telmaxcenter (TMC) Who We Are

We are not only Telemarketing Center, but also a training centers, contributing to generating fully round Fluent English speaking Telemarketing Agents, which is extremely important for the success of any Call Center.

One mistake that people often make is putting in effort to study grammar rather than conversational English. In order to become a good English speaker, remember to focus on actually conversing rather than just memorizing grammatical rules. To speak good English you need to focus on conversing!

Also remember to LISTEN! Sometimes, you can begin to understand other people before actually being able to speak fluently yourself. This is a step in the right direction. Being able to understand others will help in forming conversation yourself. Be sure to completely immerse yourself in the language. If you continue to limit yourself to social circles that do not speak English, it will make fluency that much more difficult. By submerging yourself in the language you will be forced to learn and use the English language.

Another tip is to not translate each and every word or phrase that you hear. Often you will misunderstand the topic of conversation by taking the most literal translation of each phrase. As in every language, English speakers often revert to slang and cliches. Don't be afraid to ask what these mean, by understanding these phrases you will be that much closer to fluency and on your way to being able to speak correct English.

Most importantly, remember that all the listening and reading in the world will not make you a better speaker. Many people are intimidated at first when they try to jump into conversation, but it is the only way to improve your fluency and speak fluent English. Don't be afraid! People will be more impressed at your ability to speak a second language than your accent or mispronunciation of words.

WHAT YOUR SCORE MEANS

This test is for TMC Agents, so you should regard your result as of importance chiefly because the test was not taken under proper test conditions e.g. in a silent room with no disturbances. Your performance can also be distorted if you have a cold, or have not slept well. Also, evidence shows that Graduate may be advantaged in this type of test, due to the level of education. If your first language is not English, your score is likely to be lower on such verbal tests than native English speakers. Mature students may also sometimes be disadvantaged and you should remember that your subject may change your performance - for example scientists are likely to do better on mathematical tests and Humanities students on verbal tests. Even your ability to use a mouse may influence your score! Having said all this it is still natural for you to want some feedback, so with that being said I think everyone is capable of achieving a score acceptable by TMC.

VERBAL REASONING - COMPREHENSION EXERCISE

This test includes a number of short passages of text followed by statements based on the information given in the passage. You are asked to indicate whether the statements are true or false, or whether it is not possible to say so either way. In answering these questions, use only the information given in the passage and do not try and answer them in the light of any more detailed knowledge which you personally may have.

Below you will find an example question to try. It is a selection of a passage of text which will be followed by four statements. Read the passage carefully and then, using only the information given in the passage, for each statement choose whether it is definitely true, definitely untrue, or you have insufficient information to answer.

The test has 32 questions and you will have 20 minutes to do them. At the end of the test (when 20 minutes have elapsed), you will be given a score. You can still continue answering questions for practice after this point, but your score will not change.

Time Left :

The statement is DEFINITELY TRUE, or would be a reasonable conclusion to draw from the passage
The statement is DEFINITELY UNTRUE, or would not be a reasonable conclusion to draw.
I have INSUFFICIENT INFORMATION to answer either of the above with any certainty

WHAT YOUR SCORE MEANS

As mentioned before, this test is for practice only, so you should not regard your result as of importance chiefly because the test was not taken under proper test conditions e.g. in a silent room with no disturbances. Your performance can also be distorted if you have a cold, or have not slept well. Also, evidence shows that international students or those from ethnic minorities may be disadvantaged in this type of test, due to language and cultural differences. Having said all this it is still natural for you to want some feedback on your performance.

Training 2  Customer Services Excellence

4 Most Important Call Center Customer Service Representative Qualities

Call centers give companies an efficient way to maintain a line of communication with their customers. In fact, a 2011 survey conducted by American Express found that 90 percent of U.S. customers would rather deal with customer service issues over the phone -- more than any other method. Some call center workers provide technical assistance; others process requests, investigate account errors or update personal data such as addresses. They need a unique combination of skills, attributes and knowledge to satisfy customers and keep them loyal.

Challenges

The people who answer call center phones have different titles including agent, customer service representative and client services representative. They deal with a range of caller emotions, from pleasant and appreciative to frustrated and rude. Every call requires a positive attitude and prompt resolution -- to callers, agents are the face of the company. Dealing with criticism and the constant changes in procedures, policies, technology and information inherent with call centers, adds to the stressful nature of the work. Studies show the average call center agent leaves after six months on the phones.

Phone Skills Etiquette

One of the basics in a business is learning proper business telephone etiquette. Telephone calls are

Describe a situation when you saw an opportunity to really make a difference for the future of a group, an activity or yourself.

The Good Answer

I knew that I wanted a year out in Africa and that I did not just want to travel but also to share in the life of the country and its people. Teaching gave me such an opportunity to put down roots in a community but, as this was a voluntary programme, I needed to raise £2000 in order to take part in this project. I did this by working very long hours in a factory over the summer to raise the funds that I needed.

  Demonstrates determination
I planned my year by reading a great deal about Tanzania, using websites to research the country & speaking to Tanzanian students at the university. I also asked the organisation that arranged the placement to put me in touch with previous volunteers so that I could pick up tips from them on life in Tanzania, the schools & what I should take with me.   Evidence of careful planning and forward thinking.
Despite all this planning I still found that I needed to be very flexible & to adapt to teaching a class of 60 lively ten-year old boys with few text books & even less in the way of scientific equipment. I had to adapt to this lack of resources & to bear in mind that the pupils were learning English at the same time as they were learning science.
  Shows adaptability
This experience was the most satisfying of my life and the headmaster was so pleased with the children's progress that he asked if I would be able to return at sometime in the future.   Positive result given

The Bad

During the final year of my electronics degree, we were grouped into teams to work on projects and I was told I was to be the leader.

Did not volunteer for the role
The groups were assigned at random so that we found ourselves working with people who we did not know particularly well and we needed to assess one another's strengths and weaknesses quite quickly to divide up the work of the project.
Our project involved designing and building a power meter to measure the output from a high-power pulsed infra-red laser. Each member of the group was assigned responsibility for a specific part of the work and we met weekly to discuss and assess our progress.
No mention of his own contribution which could have been tiny - everything refers to "we" or the group as a whole
We were given a mark of 62% for our project.   No individual mark given

The Ugly

One example of where I made a difference was when a group of my mates and I had to decide which pub to go to. I took on the responsibility of making the decision.

Did not get the backing of the group: decided for himself!

One of my mates is into Real Ale and so wanted to go to the Red Lion, but another likes music so he wanted the Kings Head. Using my initiative I suggested we go to the Jolly Roger which was showing the Liverpool - Bolton match on Sky Sports. With my skills of persuasion (I offered to buy the first round!) I convinced them all to come with me to the Jolly Roger.

No account taken of the wishes of the other group members.

And The Plain Ridiculous!

  • Being a Virgoan, my sense of assertiveness and resilience has prompted me to continue with my ambitions to be a solicitor in a major city law firm. I am also a seventh generation descendant of a Chinese princess and a Sulawesian warrior, which makes me both an amiable and energetic person.
  • Up until a little while ago I used to compete in British-Eventing competitions on my horse, from which I got a real kick.
  • Working on a farm has improved my communication skills which are especially important when working with large livestock.
  • My role included typing in details of accounts, customer liaison and money-laundering duties.
  • Instrumental in ruining an entire operation for a chain operator
  • Proven ability to track down and correct erors.
  • I’m an accurate and rabid typist
  • I have excellent memory skills, good analytical skills, excellent memory skills.
  • I was closely involved in every aspect of my former company, right up to its bankruptcy.
  • I am seeking challenges that test my mind and body, since the two are usually inseparable.

How to Use Data Leads  Handling Data List Properly

Data Entry DATA ENTRY LESSONS

How to Increase Data Entry Skills, How to Increase Data Entry Skills

Increase your data-entry speed and accuracy.

A data entry worker enters large amounts of data into computer systems. Such workers must be comfortable with using a computer keyboard and be able to enter data as efficiently as possible. If you are interested in a data-entry job, then improving your data-entry skills is a great place to start.

Learn to type properly if you don't already do so. Your fingers should rest on the "home row" keys, with the pinky, ring, middle and index fingers of your left hand resting on the A, S, D and F keys, respectively. Your right-hand fingers should be on J, K, L and the semicolon key, and your thumbs should hover over the space bar. As you type, hit each key with the finger closest to it. After pressing a key, return your finger to its home row position. As you become more accustomed to typing this way, practice doing so without looking at the keyboard.

Find your typing speed by taking a free online typing test (see Resources). Knowing how many words per minute you are able to type will help you to determine a goal speed.

Set a reasonable goal and time frame, such as increasing your speed by 10 or 20 words per minute in the next two weeks.

Play typing games that are designed to help improve the dexterity of your fingers (see Resources). Some games exercise only two fingers at a time, which works well for beginners. As your skills improve, you can move on to more challenging games.

Type a page from a book or an article from a newspaper as you read it. This helps you learn to type without looking at the computer screen or keyboard.

Allot a certain amount of time each day for practice. Even as little as 10 minutes per day makes a difference.
